The summer finale of "Pretty Little Liars" ended with a ghastly dead scene, romantic reunions and shocking reveals. Today, executive producer I. Marlene King spoke to Deadline about the events in the finale and gave some clues on what fans can expect in the second half of the season.

One of the events that surprised viewers last night was the shocking revelation that Mary Drake was actually the biological mother of Spencer Hastings.

"That's a huge revelation not just for Spencer but for the pretty litter liars and for the storyline," said King.

"It's a driving engine of Spencer's emotional story as we come back next April," she added.

The huge revelation about Mary Drake left big questions to viewers, the biggest of which involves the identity of Spencer and Charlotte's father. According to King, all these questions will find a resolution in the second and last half of the season.

"We will find out who Charlotte's father is and we will find out how Spencer came to be and her entire family dynamic," said King.

The executive producer further revealed that Paige is not gone for good, and that there will be more than one wedding coming up next season.

King revealed that season 7B will take place moments after the season 7A finale, and that it will see the pregnancy of Alison and how it will affect Emily.

Next season will also introduce Addison, a little bully who could be every insecure high school girl's worst nightmare. According to her, introducing her character is their way of "coming full circle on the show" after saying goodbye to the current group of pretty little liars.

"Pretty Little Liars" season 7B returns in April and will serve as the conclusion of the popular Freeform series.
