'Pretty Little Liars' Season 5 Spoilers, Release Date: Mid-Season Premiere Airs January 6 Following Mona Death
Fans of the the American teen drama, 'Pretty Little Liars', will be happy to hear that it's set to come back to ABC family this January with a vengeance. The mid-season premiere follows the mysterious death of Mona. Our four stars are sure that their ex-leader, Alison, is to blame for Mona's death ... and they want revenge.
In the first four seasons, viewers could not look away as the four girls began receiving horrifying threats from someone named "A." After the girls' leader, Alison DiLaurentis, disappeared over a year ago, the girls are sucked into a mystery that they cannot escape.
As Season 5 returns, clues to the second part have arrived in the form of a song. Marlene King, the showrunner, promoted the return of 'Pretty Little Liars' with the song, "Walkin' After Midnight."
She made mention, over social media, that there are clues hidden in the lyrics. Many different websites have broken down the lyrics, but the general consensus is that the overall song seems to be about Alison.
In addition to "Walkin' After Midnight," two Australian promotional videos provided generous peeks into the returning drama.
According to the promos, "A" has begun to stir up trouble again, but this time Emily and Caleb are sick of the lies. Caleb tells Hanna, "It's time to put a stop to it." Could this be an end to the "A" game?
Meanwhile, the return of Season 5 will present us with more background on who Alison really is and what she was hiding. Alison told her group of friends, "You'll all be next. Don't say I didn't warn you," but we are not sure if that was a threat or a warning.
Viewers will see what the midseason premiere has in store for them when 'Pretty Little Liars' returns on Tuesday, January 6th.
