Tuesday's episode (titled "To Plea or Not to Plea") of "Pretty Little Liars" turned out to be interesting as one of the most famed couples, Ezra Fitzgerald, played by Ian Harding, and Aria Montgomery, played Lucy Hale, officially called off their relationship.

In the scene, Aria admitted to Ezra that their relationship made her miss out on high school life. Past episodes revealed that Ezra was ready to break up with her for the same reasons, saying he didn't want to be in the way of her future college life. Both were sad about breaking up, but both knew it was the right thing to do as the two held hands in honor of their long lasting relationship.

It seems that the show is setting up Ezra to be named "A" once again. Ezra had been speculated to be "A" before when he was turning out to be really untrustworthy in past episodes.

Ezra, Aria and Emily, played by Shay Mitchell, tailed a man who is mysteriously named Varjak. This strange name and occurrences during past episodes point Varjak as one of "A's" minions.

Spencer Hastings, played by Troian Bellisario, also had her fair share of romance and drama and she tried to give the college thing another go. Her mom set up an interview with a professor at St. Andrews and her sister helped convince Spencer to go to it. Colin, Spencer's sister's roommate, ended up sharing a big kiss, making he and Spencer the next couple to talk about for fans of the show.

Recently jailed inmate Alison Dilaurentis, played by Sasha Pieterse, talked with her lawyer and wanted to take the stand at her hearing. However, her lawyer said it wouldn't be a good idea since she is notorious for lying, and the D.A. offered her a plea deal instead.
