Shakira Pregnancy News: Singer Shows off Baby Bump with Son Milan & Gerard Piqué at World Baby Shower
Celebrity singer, 'The Voice' host, and UNICEF ambassador Shakira, who's expecting her second child with boyfriend Gerard Pique, has once again chosen to host a 'World Baby Shower' and along with it, she shared a few photos showing off her growing baby bump and a sweet portrait of her family.
In the photo that the family released in association with the UNICEF organization, Shakira is seen having a growing baby bump and looking blooming as ever in her lacy white dress while her son Milan and boyfriend Pique wear earthy-colored casual shirts and sweater paired with their jeans.
The couple also did a separate photo with Shakira being embraced by her F.C. Barcelona defender boyfriend. The Colombian pop star did a solo photo of herself as well wearing a flowing gray dress while holding a big balloon, and of course her baby bump.
Shakira previously did a world baby shower for her son Milan two years ago and now, the Hollywood celebrity wanted to use her baby shower as an opportunity for the less privileged to receive food, vaccines, and other supplies.
The 37-year-old The Voice judge shared the photos on her Facebook as well as the link of the UNICEF website where people can purchase items for the needy children. Shakira said in her post: "Two years ago, Gerard and I had the idea of putting together a different kind of baby shower to celebrate the birth of our first baby-- we wanted to give something to other parents and babies around the world, who live in conditions of extreme poverty and vulnerability but whose lives can be improved greatly by small contributions from others," she wrote.
"There are millions of kids in the world who die daily from preventable causes, and with your help we want to change this permanently," she continued. The singer also encouraged other mothers to do the deed for the benefit of the less fortunate.
"With the explosion of social media, every woman that's expecting has the power to use the celebration of her child's imminent birth to save the lives of other, less fortunate children around the world," Shakira wrote.
