Preaching Rapper Mase Finalizes Divorce Despite Previous Teaching on Making a Marriage Last (VIDEO)

Rapper Mase and his wife Twyla Betha have finalized their divorce despite earlier reports of reconciling.

Bad Boy rapper turned pastor secretly filed for divorce on January 2, citing irreconcilable differences. He allegedly requested full custody of their two children along with child support, but just a month after filing he stopped the divorce proceedings around Valentine's Day.

According to TMZ the two are now officially divorced despite reports of the couple's reconciliation. Although initially both sides requested physical custody of their two kids, Mase was not granted physical custody of the children, but has been ordered to pay $6,000 in child support.

The news site stated the rapper received "reasonable visitation" with his children, which means he can see them up to three hours a day as long as he gives 12-hours' notice. Other sources are reporting that Twyla must return all of Mase's musical equipment, which should be helpful as the rapper is set to release his fourth album Now We Even this summer.

Some of the parishioner's of his church told TMZ months ago that Mase, who has made a fortune publishing books on making a marriage last, has been preaching about the virtues of marriage even after he filed in January, and yet never once addressed his own situation.

Around the same time the rapper/pastor was criticized by some of his congregation who claimed he is a fake and has committed blasphemy by using the holiness of the church to advance his rap career.

Churchgoers told TMZ, they believe Mase is "living a double life, spending as much time in the studio with hardcore rappers as in the church." They reportedly said his messages from the pulpit are hypocritical, because what he raps about is exactly the opposite.

Recently, the rapper was rumored to be involved with "Basketball Wives LA" Star Malayasia Pargo according to madamenoire.com. Pargo also filed for divorce from her husband, Jannero Pargo, but continued to immediately deny the infidelity.

No word as of yet what will happen to the pastor's church, but Mase is still performing explicit music. One of his latest songs "Tricky Situation," is about a man who brags about being with a woman who is already engaged. The pastor is heard slandering the female.
