'Preacher' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Saint of Killers Coming For Jesse Custer?

Following the completion of the first season of "Preacher," fans of the series are excited to know what is in store for its characters in the upcoming season.

One of the most obvious things viewers can look forward to next season is the Saint of Killers, especially since the previous season ended with him emerging with a quest to search for Jesse Custer. The new season is expected to give viewers a deeper understanding of how dangerous this character is as he chases down Custer and won't stop until his bloodlust gets sated.

Another major antagonist who is expected to be back in season 2 is the man in a white suit and brimmed hat, Herr Starr, who was first introduced in the third episode of season 1.  Herr Starr is second in command of the Grail, an illuminati-esque secret society that also seeks Custer, primarily because he is the one who holds the power of Genesis.

Angel Eugene is also making some occasional appearances next season, as Custer tries to find a way back from Hell. However, since most of the supporting cast in season 1 are already dead, fans can expect season 2 to start off with a clean slate, as well as a change in location.

Season 2 will also delve more deeply into the mystery of the events surrounding the death of Custer's father, as revealed by "Preacher" executive producer Sam Catlin. However, his father isn't the only one to take the limelight in the upcoming season, as he is not the only notable person in the Preacher's family.

"Preacher" season 2 is expected to return to AMC next year.
