'Preacher' Season 1 News: More Twists Unveiled In Finale; Second Season Returns In May 2017
More twists are coming up in the finale episode of "Preacher."
Titled "Call and Response," the final episode of AMC's critically-acclaimed series will reveal what happens to Preacher Jesse Custer and Tulip O'Hares.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the episode will be filled with surprising twists, which the series has never fallen short of since its premiere in May.
"Ruth Negga's vengeance-seeking Tulip and Dominic Cooper's trying-to-keep-a-clean-nose man-of-the-cloth Jesse," reported EW.
It has also been reported that the episode will add more "interesting steps to that particular piece of relationship choreography."
The synopsis for the episode reads, "In the first-season finale, it's the day the entire town has been waiting for, as Jesse tries to follow through on his promise to get answers from Heaven."
Titled "Finish the Song," the penultimate episode featured much violence. It followed Tulip as she told Emily Woodrow that she could have Jesse since she was already done. However, Emily declined since she was seeing Mayor Miles. Emily also revealed to her that Cassidy was a vampire.
Based on a comic book by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillion, "Preacher" is starred by Dominic Cooper, Rugth Negga and Josepph Gilgun.
According to reports, season 2 will consist of 13 episodes, unlike season 1 which consists of only 10 episodes. No official announcement has been made yet as to the new cast members and the premiere date of the upcoming season.
There are speculations, however, that "Preacher" season 2 will return sometime in May 2017.
