'Preacher' AMC Series Cast News: 'Rake' Actor Ian Colletti Tapped for Role in Upcoming Comic Book Adaptation
More news on the cast has been revealed for Seth Rogen's and Evan Goldberg's comic book adapted AMC series, 'Preacher'.
Fox's 'Rake' actor, Ian Colletti will be taking on the role as the Eugene Root, better known in the comics as Arseface. The character suffers from a severe deformity in his face due to a failed suicide attempt, along with a bad speech impediment.
"Even with his horribly disfigured face and severe speech impediment, Eugene's still the nicest kid you'll ever meet and really looks up to Jesse. Stomach-churningly difficult to look at, Eugene's the town's reviled Frankenstein's monster, but that won't change his earnest, sweet and pure outlook on life. However, he is troubled by something terrible he's done in the past - something he fears might have turned God himself against him," writes Deadline.
This is speculated to be one of Rogen's favorite characters, as he's mentioned his inclusion in the the adaption as early as its announcement.
Colletti joins Ruth Negga as Tulip, and a suspected Dominic Cooper to lead as Jesse Cutter.
