Power Forward Kevin Love News: Star Player Says He's Sticking with the Cleveland Cavaliers

Kevin Love declared that he will continue to play for Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2015 to 2016 season and will not become a free agent.

Love revealed his intentions of staying with the team to Northeast Ohio Media Group on Tuesday. The 26-year-old athlete said that the options to leave are always open but he is sticking to the team.

The player opted for $16.7 million to stay with the Cavaliers until summer of 2016. After that, he will be given the permission to sign up with another team for 2016 to 2017 season.

Love said that he will be a Cavalier player for the long haul and his role in the team will "continue to evolve." As of this time, he is still on his way to discover his perfect position in the group.

Among the Big Three in the Cavaliers, Love is the one who needs to adjust his position most of the time compared to Lebron James and Kyrie Irving. The power forward has to ensure that the other players find him in the accurate spots during a game. Most of the time he delivered greatly in his role but there are times when he still looks confused.

In his first season with the Cavaliers, the player is averaging 17.7 points and 10.3 rebounds in 39 games.

Love has shown dedication in his role despite suffering from back spasms. On Friday night, the player missed the game against Los Angeles Clippers due to his condition. Love revealed that the cause of the pain is still unknown to him but it makes him feel paralyzed.

The good news is the player was able to join the practice game on Sunday and he said he is determined to prevent the back spasms and treat it.

Love and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers members will play against Utah Jazz at 7:00 pm on Jan. 21 and against Charlotte Hornets at 7:30 pm on Jan. 23.
