'Pokken Tournament' Wii U Controller Set To Be Released In US, Available Now For Pre-order

"Pokken Tournament" gamers are set to enjoy a unique Wii U controller, which is included in the bundles set to be released in the United States.

According to Destructoid, the limited edition of the Hori Pokken Tournament Pro Pad Controller will be released on March. 18, 2016, while it is now available for pre-order in Amazon. As per the publication the release date of the said controller in the United States is at par with its the "Pokken Tournament" release date in Japan.

The aforementioned arrival of the Hori controller in the United States could be a prime indicator of the game's release in the region; however, things are yet to be revealed. Previously, Bandai Namco reportedly announced that the game is set for a spring 2016 release in Europe and North America.

According to Christian Post, the new Hori controller is inspired by the controllers found in typical arcade machines, which present an "ergonomic" design sans analog sticks with "ZL" and "ZR" buttons on its surface. As per the publication, the said controller is exclusive to "Pokken Tournament" and it has USB port for gamers to connect it to the Wii U.

In Japan, the new controller can be bought as part of a bundle or as a separate unit for 3,480 yen, which is equivalent to approximately $29. The whole Wii U "Pokken Tournament" bundle set can be purchased for 36,800 yen or about $300. It consists of a 32 GB Black Wii U Premium Set, a digital game download, a Battle Pokemon Action List pamphlet, and a Shadow Mewtwo amiibo promotional card, as per Serebii.
