'Pokken Tournament' News: Sinnoh’s Darkrai Joining Nintendo’s Fighting Game?
Nintendo's "Pokken Tournament" has added another team player, Darkrai.
While it is thrilling to most fans and gamers of Nintendo's hit fighting game "Pokken Tournament," it is revealed that Darkrai is only confirmed for the title's Japanese arcade version, Game Rant has learned. Also, Sinnoh's dark-type legendary Pokemon is set to join Garchomp, Braixen, and Shadow Mewtwo, which are currently not available in arcades.
In the "Pokken Tournament" Darkrai trailer, Sinnoh's legend is seen battling the fighting-steel Pokemon Lucario. It can be seen that Darkrai is capable of dodging attacks through teleportation, as well as eliciting dark balls.
Along with Darkrai, the trailer also featured dragon-ground Pokemon Garchomp, which can use its dig and physical ground attacks against its opponents. On the other hand, Fennekin's evolution, Braixen, makes use of its flame stick as its weapon in battle while famous legend Mewtwo uses psychic balls as its offensive arsenal against its opponents.
As per Destructoid, Darkrai is set to come to Japanese arcades on July 20, along with two Steel-type Pokemon. According to the publication, the files for Empoleon and Scizor were also seen along with Darkrai's within the Wii U data. Thus, it is assumed that players are set to see Piplup's final evolution and Scyther's link trade evolution in the game. However, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have made any comment about the rumor.
As of now, there is no known DLC line-up for Nintendo's "Pokken Tournament." As per rumors, the title's follow-up content are set to arrive either along with or after the release of the Nintendo NX.
In line with Nintendo's upcoming titles, fans are set to see "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" on Nov. 18.
