'Pokken Tournament' News: Developer To Announce New Character July 14
On July 14th, a new Pokken fighter will be announced by the Pokken Tournament creators. The new fighter will be announced through NicoNico stream and it was recently confirmed that it will be a completely playable character on the roster. It is one of the late update that the developers of the game have made before the game's official release on July 20th.
According to Comic Book, besides the new character, Braixen, Garchomp and Shadow Mewtwo, three formerly Wii U exclusive characters will now be available in the arcade version of the game. Those characters will be valuable to the fighter roster of the game since it will add variety for the gamers. The game currently has 16 available Pokemons in the Pokken Tournament roster.
Also, according to Always Nintendo, Nintendo was previously firm on the idea that the Pokken Tournament would not have any other DLC in the future. However there might be a possibility that the company will change its mind after the changes that they have made.
The Pokken Tournament is a fighting game developed by Bandai Namco Studios, published by The Pokemon Company. The game is distributed by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is a fusion of the elements of the Tekken Tournament and characters from Pokemon. The game is very familiar to the gameplay of Tekken where fighters can freely move around the arena. The game's arcade version was released on July 16, 2015. The Wii U version of the game was released internationally on March 18, 2016.
