Part of the exploration in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is ensuring that each Pokemon found on the island is caught and gets included in the Pokedex. In the game, the Melemele Island is the first island that players explore.

For "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players who want some tips on how to explore the island better, here is a list of all the Pokemons and where to find them.

Rockruff and Lucanroc

Rockruff is located in Ten Carat Hill. From the Professor's house, head left and smash a rock that blocks the way up the hill through Tauros. Lycanroc can be found at the Vast Pino Canyon. It is best to catch it at midday when playing "Pokemon Sun," and midnight when playing "Pokemon Moon."

Pichu, Pikachu or Alolan Raichu

Hang out at either at Route 1 or Hau'oli City. To see the Pikachu evolve into Alolan Raichu, improve their relationship first by boosting their happiness through Pokemon Refresh. Then, expose the Pokemon to a thunder stone.

Grubbin, Charjabug, and Vikavolt

Grubbin can be caught in Route 1, 4, 5 and 6 of Melemele Island. Charjabug, on the other hand, is in Blush Mountain. Since it is not a wild Pokemon, the Vikavolt must be evolved first before it can be caught.

Pikipek, Trumbeak and Toucannon

Pikipek is one of the best Pokemons so it must be included in your main Pokemon. It can be caught in Route 1, 4, 5, 6 and 8, while Trumbeak can be caught in Route 5, 8 and 11. Toucannon cannot be caught in the wild so you must evolve it from Trumbeak to get it.

Crabrawler and Crabominable

Crabrawler can be found in Route 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 16 and 17, the Poni Wilds and Plains, and the Secluded Shore. You cannot find it in grassy areas but only in areas with berries. Crabominable, on the other hand, will have to be evolved first while it is in Mount Lanakina before you can get it.

Fomantis and Lurantis

Fomantis can be found in Route 5 and the Lush Jungle. To catch Lurantis, you have to evolve it from Fomantis during daytime in level 34 or higher.
