'Pokemon Sun And Moon' News Leak: The Secret Beneath Alola’s Water Surface Revealed

In line with Nintendo's "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon," it is assumed that the seventh generation game title is set to have an underwater region. Also, new ways on using the QR codes have been revealed.

"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon," Nintendo's Hawaiian-based "Pokemon" game title, are set to have an underwater metropolis, Inquisitr has learned. According to the publication, OmaOma, the top right island in Alola's artwork sees a mysterious stairwell, which leads into the ocean. The stairwell is said to be cradled in OmaOma's western tip.

The said stairwell ignited rumors that an underwater city could be part of the Alola region in "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon." It is assumed that the concept would spark gamers' interest, as there has not been any submerged city in the "Pokemon" game history.

The closest one to the aforementioned concept is Hoenn's Sootopolis City in "Pokemon Sapphire," "Pokemon Ruby," "Pokemon Emerald," and their 3D remakes "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire" and "Pokemon Omega Ruby." Sootopolis can be accessed by using dive via the Underwater Cavern.

Along with the underwater city, Alola's aquatic region is also speculated to include an underwater volcano, as well as the Victory Road, the path towards the game's Elite Four. The possibility of having a volcano in-game comes from Hawaii's iconic submarine volcano, named Lo'ihi Seamoun, while the Victory Road is reportedly concealed under the rest of Alola's aqueos region.

"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are also set to continue the use of QR codes, just like how they materialized in "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y." According to Serebii, Pokemon Ga-Ole, which takes over the arcade machine Pokemon Tretta, contains QR codes, which are compatible with the upcoming game titles. As per the publication, these can be used to unlock Pokemon or some items in other 3DS titles that will hook players up in the game.

Meanwhile, players are yet to decide among Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio in "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon," which are set to be released on Nov. 18.
