'Pokémon Sun' And 'Moon' Release Date, News, Rumors: Game Set To Launch This Fall Or Winter 2016?

In line with Nintendo's much-anticipated video game "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon," it is revealed that the generation seven "Pokemon" games are set to feature multiple locales. Also, both games may see the return of the Pokewalker.

"Pokemon" series director Junichi Masuda has shared his insights on the possibility of seeing all regions in a future "Pokemon" game, in this case, "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon." In his interview with Kotaku, Masuda said that if they could come up with a way to really make that interesting, then it was something they would implement, as a theory. For the series director, it would be more fun for players to enjoy different locations and share that experience together than all have the same experience in the same region.

Players have gone to six regions in various "Pokemon" games, since "Pokemon Red," "Blue," "Green," and "Yellow." These are Kanto (also in "Pokemon Fire Red" and "Leaf Green," Johto (in "Pokemon Gold," "Silver," "Crystal," "Heart Gold," and "Soul Silver"), Hoenn (in "Pokemon Ruby," "Sapphire," "Emerald," "Omega Ruby," and "Alpha Sapphire"), Sinnoh (in "Pokemon Diamond," "Pearl," and "Platinum), Unova (in "Pokemon Black," "White," "Black 2," and "White 2), and Kalos (in "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y")

Among the aforementioned games, "Pokemon Gold" and "Silver" were the first two games to feature two maps in the game - Kanto and Johto. The games allowed players to finish the Pokemon League in Johto prior to going back to Kanto and complete the eight gym badges.

In other news, "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are bound to feature the Pokewalker, News Everyday has learned. Pokewalker is a device that allows players to chose a Pokemon that they can walk around with. In addition, it also contributes to a stat boost of a Pokemon. The idea of players walking with a Pokemon behind them started with a Pikachu in "Pokemon Yellow," which is followed by the Pokewalker in "Pokemon HeartGold" and "SoulSilver."

Previously, the starters' Japanese names for "Pokemon Sun" and "Moon" were revealed as Mokuroh (grass owl), Ashimari (sea lion), and Nyabby (fire cat). However, rumors say that these are fake.

"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon"are set to be released this fall or winter 2016 and more information are set to come on May 10.
