'Pokemon Sun and Moon' News: New Pokemon, Z-Moves And Island Challenge; Nintendo Unveils Hype Details?

Nintendo's "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" is arriving soon, so more details on the title's gameplay and pre-order have surfaced.

"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" are the first "Pokemon" games to introduce the Alola Forms, which sees certain Pokemon in a specific Alola look. The trailer reveals Exeggutor, along with Vulpix, Ninetales, Sandshrew, and Sandslash, which have ice as their typing.

The trailer also shows Oricorio's types as fire, psychic, electric, and ghost, along with the Revelation dance, which matches its type. It also has an ability called Dancer, which copies the opponent's move.

The latest update also sees new Pokemon Minior, which is a rock and flying type. Its ability is called Shields Down, which causes its shield to fall off. Minior has four colors, which are similar to Oricorio's, and is assumed that these colors correspond to the same typing as the latter.

Alola also has a new grass type and it is named Fomantis. Just like other grass type's Fomantis' ability is Leaf Guard, which prevents it from being afflcted like status condition moves like Yawn. It evolves into Lurantis and it is capable of learning the new grass type move, Solar Blade.

"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" also sees the evolutionary lines of the normal type Mungoose and the ground type Mudsdale. As per the reveal, Mungoose's evolution is Gumshoos, who has either Stakeout or Strong Jaw ability. It can learn the move Super Fang, which cuts the opponents HP to half. On the other hand, Mudsdale's pre-evolution is Mudbray, which either has Own Tempo or Stamina as its ability.

Just like in "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y," characters can ride on Pokemon like Tauros Mudsdale on land and Charizard if airborne.

"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" also has the island challenge. A case in point is Mallow, a grass-type trainer. She welcomes the trainer to the Lush Jungle and asks help to find four ingredients for her. The other trainers are Lana, Sophocles, Kiawe, who specialize in water, electric, fire types, respectively.

It is revealed that a powerful totem Pokemon await at the conclusion of each trial. An example is Gumshoos, which changed its aura to fire, raising its defense. In addition, the totem Pokemon can call another Pokemon for help.

Players can beat each island's trials and battle the Kahunas, like Hala for Melemel Island. Also, the trailer shows a new way to attack, the Z-Moves. A case in point is Pikachu, which uses its Gigavolt Havoc. As per the reveal, each type has its own Z-Move - Bloom Doom for grass, Inferno Overdrive for fire, and Hydro Vortex for Water. No information on other types' Z-Move has been revealed.

It is assumed that the latest reveal for "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" boosts the hype for fans and players. However, details on the evolutions for Alola starters Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Nintendo has also unveiled information on the pre-order bonus for fans. According to Nintendo Insider, the Nintendo 3DS XL Solgaleo and Lunaala Limited Edition can be pre-ordered independently for around $230 or along with a copy of either game title for around $300.

"Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" serve as Nintendo's seventh generation "Pokemon" game titles. Set in the Alola region, which is based in Hawaii, the game sees new Pokemon species, in addition to the 721 species discovered in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos.
