'Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire' New Update News: Nintendo & Game Freak Release Patch 1.4 Featuring Hoopa
New reports are coming in about an update for the latest Pokemon games, 'Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire', for the Nintendo 3DS handheld system. Patch 1.4 released by both Nintendo and Game Freak will feature the mythical Pokemon Hoopa.
On a side note, the new update is also available on copies of 'Pokemon X' and 'Pokemon Y'.
Stepping back into the latest update, the patch has already been made available, and is mandatory if players want to continue to play online. For those that may not understand, players will be able to continue playing the game without the patch, offline, but if they want to login and battle or trade other players, they're going to have to download the patch.
However, from what seems to be offered by the latest content addition, there's really no reason a player would not want to add the extra content to an already fantastic game.
At the moment, the only hitch might be the size of the update. Patch 1.4 varies from roughly 250 to 270 blocks in size and might take some time to download, considering the user's Internet connection.
Moving into the heart of the latest Pokemon 'Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire', VG247 offers the scoop about what features and changes come with the new update.
First off, the new update aims to fix many in-game text errors, glitches, and bugs that could slow down a players progress through the games. On that note, fans of the series have reported save file bugs and font issues in the past, so this update should be a good start to begin resolving those problems.
Beyond all the fixes and changes to the game with regards to bugs and glitches, the other thing gamers should be excited about is the addition of the mythical Pokemon Hoopa into the game. As it stands, Venture Capital Post speculates that the new Pokemon will become available once the movie revolving around it releases, 'Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages'. While there is no US release date for the film yet, the movie will premiere in Japan on July 18, 2015.
For those players that may not be familiar about the Pokemon Hoopa, it comes in two forms, confined and unbound. Hoopa confined can transform into his other form, Hoopa unbound, only to become more powerful after digesting Prison Bottle item.
While Hoopa confined is a psychic ghost mixture, the unbound version is a true psychic-ghost combo.
According to its official Pokedex description: "In its true form [Hoopa], it possess a huge amount of power. Legends of its avarice tell how it once carried off an entire castle to gain the treasure hidden within."
While the Pokemon hasn't necessary been released to gamers with the latest version, the results from data mining the update reveal that Hoopa has indeed been included.
