"Pokemon" will be having its 20th anniversary this year and companies who are affiliated with the game are eager to take advantage of this special event. Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and Game Freak Inc. have started to come up with new products as part of the celebration. An original Pokemon trading card starter pack will be re-released next year while Nintendo will be launching four limited edition Nintendo 2DS consoles.

According to Christian Post, Nintendo and the Pokémon Company recently announced that the original set of Pokémon trading cards will be available once again as a part of the 20th Anniversary celebration of the franchise. The original edition of the trading cards will once again be back on sale on Feb. 27, 2016, at the trading card game's official website.

Four special editions of the Nintendo 2DS system will be released although reports say that they will only be released in Japan. The available colors will be in the classic Pokemon colors. Each one will be pre-installed with "Pokemon Red," "Pokemon Green," "Pokemon Blue," or "Pokemon Yellow" according to the color of the Nintendo 2DS system that you choose.
