Pokemon New Movie News: Upcoming Film Based on Hoopa & Dimensional Travel [TRAILER VIDEO]
Japanese hit cartoon Pokemon has just released their full trailer for their 18th movie last Thursday which previewed an epic battle between legendary pokemons: Lugia, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Arceus. An exciting addition to the cast is a new pokemon named as Hoopa who can transport these heavy weight Pokemon across certain dimensions.
It would seem that Ash Ketchum and Pikachu are set to capture this new Pokemon as a friend. However, there are parts on the trailer that may signify some devious plot twists surrounding Hoopa. There are speculations that Hoopa might release an unknown Pokemon on top of the legendary food chain.
The movie's opening act still includes short films about the misadventures of Pikachu and his Music Band. The whole movie still include main pokemon casts such as Pikachu and Nyarth (Meowth), as well as Dedenne, Yancham (Pancham), Tairenar (Braixen), Gekogashira (Frogadier), Harimaron (Chespin), Luchabull (Hawlucha), Horubii (Bunnelby), Rentorar (Luxray), Hinoyakoma (Fletchinder), Onbat (Noibat), S?nasu (Wobbuffet), Maaiika (Inkay), Pumpjin (Gourgeist), Kabigon (Snorlax), Gothimu (Gothita), and Florges.
The new movie is set to have its theatrical launch on July 18, 2015 in Japan. No information regarding an international release has been made publicly but international fans are hoping that a translated version may happen within the year.
To add energy to the hype, many mysterious rings have appeared on the following Nintendo 3DS games: Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire for the upcoming theatrical launch for Pokemon XY: Ring no Chomajin Hoopa. Players were able to find legendary Pokemon through the rings and add it to their inventory.
A hint about a "Primal Reversion" was included in Shogakukan's Coro Coro Comic Magazine just last year. Primal Reversion is a term used for an ancient transformation much different from Mega Evolution since it uses energy from nature to increase power. Pokemon with this ability are Kyogre and Groudon
