'Pokemon GO' Release Date News: Niantic CEO Says Game Now In Open Beta; Gameplay Video Leaked Online

In the past couple of weeks, we haven't had any really good updates about one of the most awaited games, the Pokemon Go. However, it was only recently that a video of the gameplay was posted online.

In the video shown in a Movie Pilot article, an "Ivysaur" was being attempted to catch. It was first attempted through a regular pokeball which was a failure due to maybe a bad throw. In the second throw, the game tester threw a master ball to seal the deal. There was no confirmation on who tested the game or if the one that is shown is actually the legitimate Pokemon game.

Despite Niantic CEO John Hanke's Game Developers Conference (GDC which was cancelled) speech which says: "Catch 'Em All: Pokémon GO and Real World Gaming," it is good news that the game is now on the open beta phase. After months and months of anticipation, we are definitely getting a few inches closer to the game's much awaited release.

There is still no definite release date for the game although The Pokemon Company recently stated that the game will definitely be released sometime in 2016. New information about the development of the game are quite rare and limited that's why we are lucky enough to get this new info.

Pokémon GO is an upcoming augmented-reality game which will be played on mobile phones. The game is developed by Niantic, Inc. and is set to be released for iOS and Android devices. Alongside, will be the release of the Pokémon Go Plus which utilizes a small wearable wrist gear developed by Nintendo. The game was said to use a Bluetooth connection.
