'Pokemon Go' Release Date, Latest News: Closed Beta Will Be Available For Download In Japan This Month?
The exact release date for "Pokemon Go" is still unknown but there are reports that the beta version will be available for download in Japan as early as this month.
It won't be available for everybody, of course, as beta versions typically are only accessed by gamers who will then share their own thoughts on the game in order to aid the developers in tweaking the glitches before going full blast on the release date for "Pokemon Go."
The details of how to participate in the Closed Beta for "Pokemon Go" is explained by Neuro Gadget.
"In order to apply for a spot in the Pokemon Go Beta program, you will need to have an Android or iOS device and, as well, a registered account on Google," the website said. "Keep in mind that the slots are limited and those who will sign up and get approved will need to keep the content confidential."
As to the details of "Pokemon Go," Niantic's Mike Quigley and John Hanke explained to Venture Beat, confirmed that it will follow the Ingress type of gameplay.
The only difference is that when players walk out of their house, they can expect to meet a Pokemon within just five minutes.
"It may not be the rarest Pokémon in the world, but there'll be a population of Pokémon living near all our players," Hanke said. "Gyms will be a bit more rare. You want to find gyms so you can level up your Pokémon and battle there, so it will take a little more effort to get there."
As of now, there's no release date for "Pokemon Go" in other regions. There are various rumors, such as the release in November or December last year, which turned out to be false. However, more details are expected to come out soon particularly after the Beta version comes out.
