‘Pokemon Go’ Plus Release Date: Niantic Postpones Launch To Next Month?

"Pokemon Go Plus' is suffering even more delays with Nintendo sharing the bad news to fans recently.

In a Twitter post, Nintendo announced, "The #PokemonGO Plus accessory will now be released Sept 2016 instead of the originally expected end of July launch."

What the company is referring to is the "Pokemon Go Plus" wearable which should already have been on store shelves by now.

A Nintendo spokesperson explained the delay in a news article from Tech Radar.

"The delay is due to the preparations for the Pokémon Go application update in order to optimize Pokémon Go Plus," the spokesperson said. "In order for us to offer new experiences to play Pokémon Go with Pokémon Go Plus with a quality level high enough to satisfy as many people as possible, we decided that it is necessary to take enough time for the completion."

The accessory will allow the wearer to find a Pokemon nearby by vibrating and flashing. It will be very convenient for the user to just go on about his daily tasks without necessarily checking his mobile every now and then. It's also supposed to be a battery-saver, which means it can last through the day even for the heavy users.

By just pushing the button located on the ball, the user can just throw a Pokeball to catch the Pokemon.

The news about the delay in the "Pokemon Go Plus" accessory is very disappointing to say the least. The game has become somewhat of a sensation with over 75 million users around the world.
