'Pokemon GO' Release Date, News: Game Linked To Crime and Accident Issues?
With the launch of Nintendo's "Pokemon GO," new details on the gameplay have surfaced, along with issues relating to crimes and car accidents. In addition, the game is now available in the United Kingdom.
Team Epiphany shared his "Pokemon GO" gameplay on his YouTube channel. In his video, it can be seen that his app shows a map, showing him his exact location. It can also be noticed that the app shows the wild Pokemon close in the area, in his case, a water Pokemon, Seaking. This confirms that Pokemon could randomly appear regardless of the environment, as there is no body of water in the area where the video was taken.
Players can also see the status of the Pokemon in the app, such as hit points (HP), weight, and height. They can also give the Pokemon nicknames, just like in the video games. An interesting note is that players do not have to battle Pokemon and weaken it for it to be captured more easily.
Just like in the iconic video games on the Game Boy and the 3DS, players can capture the Pokemon using a Pokeball. The ball is set to move thrice and stars appear, which indicate that the Pokemon has been captured.
Recently, fans and gamers in the United Kingdom have been able to access the game. According to PC Advisor, the easiest and fastest way is to install the app via an APK file, a 58.1MB file that can be downloaded from an APK download site like APKPure.
Players can download the file directly on their phones or on a PC via USB. On the phone, players should go to Settings and then Security to enable the installation of the application from unknown sources. Then, they need to tap on "Pokemon GO" in the Downloads folder to access and install it.
Meanwhile, some incidents, which are related to crimes and car accidents have surfaced following the release of the "Pokemon GO."
On July 10, O'Fallon Missouri Police Department posted on its official Facebook account a report of an Armed Robbery close to the intersection of Feise Road and highway K. As per the publication, four suspects occupying a black BMW, who are suspected of multiple Armed Robberies in St. Charles and St. Louis, were located. According to the report the suspects targeted their victims through the "Pokemon GO" app.
Following the release of "Pokemon GO" in all territories, it is assumed that fans and gamers are set to look forward to the much-anticipated release of "Pokemon Sun" and "Pokemon Moon" on Nov. 18.
