'Pokemon GO' Beta Release Date, News: New Features Like Pokemon Evolution, Egg Hatching and Gyms Leaked
New gameplay details have surfaced with regard Nintendo's much-anticipated "Pokemon GO."
Following the field test in Japan, New Zealand, and Australia, "Pokemon GO" beta is not in the United States, allowing "Pokemon" game testers to have a first look at the game and its gameplay, as per Niantic. According to the publication, players in the aforementioned territory now have the chance to give their response, which will be utilized to help improve the game.
According to the "Pokemon GO" development team, they have added several key features to the game stretch its gameplay. Just like in the "Pokemon" video games, trainers have valuable roles in helping their Pokemon evolve; however, the manner that leads to the Pokemon evolution in the upcoming game is yet to be revealed. In the video games, a Pokemon may evolve via reaching a certain level, specific time of the day, evolution stones, key items, happiness, and trades.
"Pokemon GO" also allows players find and gather Pokemon eggs, which they can hatch into a fully grown Pokemon. It is revealed that an egg will hatch after a the trainer covered a specific distance, which is at par with covering the required number of steps in the video games. A new angle on egg hatching in "Pokemon GO" is that players will be able to know what Pokemon the egg will hatch into, along with presence of incubators, in place of carrying Pokemon with the ability Flame Body in the party.
Pokemon gyms also serve as a major part of "Pokemon GO" and four gyms have been revealed. According to the publication, Empty Gyms are claimed by a team when the trainer places his Pokemon there to claim it while Friendly Gyms are developed when the Pokemon are trained in battles. Higher Level Gyms allow trainers to use their Pokemon to defend them while Rival Gyms can be challenged by trainers who can use their Pokemon to attack the other party's Pokemon.
"Pokemon GO" also allows players to interact with their Pokemon with an in-game avatar, which can me modified with broad options, as per IGN. Along with this is the "Pokemon GO" Plus, a device that alerts players about the game without looking at their mobile phones.
