Pokémon Red and Blue: Splatoon Starts Splatfest On February 20, Event Goes On For 24 Hours Straight
There will be an event coming real soon that will try to settle the long debate once and for all. Splatoon will hold a Pokémon-themed "Splatfest" where participants will be divided into to groups, the red and the blue.
According to Kotaku, once the players choose their side, teams red and blue will fight it out to settle one of the oldest arguments in video game history.
Starting February 20th, anyone who's interested can join the Splatfest. It was reported by Latin Online that this event will go on for 24 straight hours.
The official Pokémon site recently announced the event, stating:
"Splatoon players should get ready for a Pokémon-themed Splatfest starting on February 20 at 1 a.m. ET! In advance of this fun event, visit Inkopolis Plaza inside the game to choose which is your favorite: Pokémon Red or Pokémon Blue! The Splatfest runs until February 21 at 10 p.m. ET."
Splatfest is an event happening only in Splatoon. The event makes two opposing teams fight in a multiplayer game of different varieties.
The debate on which is better between the Pokémon blue or red has been going on for two decades now. Pokémon will celebrate its 20th anniversary and will look to bring back a lot of nostalgic video games from the past. Also, Nintendo is also planning on bringing back both games on February 27 on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console.
Which do you think is the better edition? For those who are interested in Splatfest, feel free to join.
