'Pokémon Go' Release Date In 2016, Game Details Unveiled By John Hanke
Niantic Labs co-founder John Hanke has recently revealed some details about the "Pokémon Go's" history, design process and game mechanics according to an interview with Venture Beat.
We have now discovered via Christian Today that one of the main philosophy of the game is that: to become successful, it must be playable to everyone around the world.
"If we're going to build a game that works with location, it has to be fun for people anywhere to play, in small towns as well as San Francisco," Hanke discussed in the interview. "If we designed something that only worked in San Francisco, it wouldn't be a real success. We wanted it to work globally."
He also stated that the gamers will encounter Pokémons almost everywhere they go but the creatures will depend on their location. Rare Pokémons will only be limited in selected locations but trading will be a better option for people surrounded by water Pokémon to gain other types of creatures on their collection. There will also be an Event Pokémon which will be introduced to all gamers in the future.
Hanke then discussed the use of a Pokemon Go Plus wristband, which was created so that players who are outside of their houses but don't have the time to check their mobile devices, could still catch Pokémons on the go. This is specially made for children. The kids can use the Pokemon Go Plus to catch Pokémons outside and could just check out their catch on a phone when they arrive home.
Another main reason for the device is so that parents don't have to spend money just to buy their kids another tablet or phone. Through this feature, the kids could just borrow their parents' mobile devices when they reach home.
"Pokemon Go" is expected to be available on the market within this year.
