PlayStation VR News: Sony’s Virtual Console Adds ‘Batman,’ ‘Resident Evil’ And ‘Tumble’

In line with the arrival of Sony's PlayStation Virtual Reality or VR platform, the studio has revealed its upcoming titles.

The PlayStation VR games are set to be part of Sony's highlights at the Gamescom 2016 in Cologne, Germany, which is set to take place next week, according to Road to VR. As per the publication, some of the titles include "Batman: Arkham", "Resident Evil 7 Biohazard," and "Tumble," among others.

"Batman: Arkham" is Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive's action-adventure video game series, based on DC Comics character Batman. The first game is "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and it covers the Dark Knight as he stops Joker from destroying Gotham City, following his control of the Arkham Asylum. It is followed by "Arkham City," which sees Hugo Strange expand Arkham into a super-prison.

Set to be released in Jan. 2017, "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is also one of the games of the PlayStation VR. It is Capcom's forthcoming survival horror video game and 11th entry into the main "Resident Evil" game series and the first installment to be played from a first-person point-of-view.

Meanwhile, Tumble is a 3D puzzle for one to two players, as per its official website. In the game, players have to build, balance, face, and solve several challenges. It features intuitive game play with the motion controller, allowing gamers to place things as they virtually see in the screen. Moreover, the game applies physics principles, letting objects act like their actual counterparts.

Sony's PlayStation VR is set to be released on Oct. 13.
