PlayStation VR News: ‘Batman: Arkham’ And ‘Resident Evil 7’ Among Titles At Gamescom 2016

Sony is unveiling what the PlayStation VR can really do as it will bring along 17 gaming titles to Cologne, Germany for the annual Gamescom from Aug. 17-21, according to the news reports.

Organized by Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software, the event has become a mecca for video game players. It's also a platform for some developers to showcase their new titles.

According to the news article from Games Radar, "Batman: Arkham VR" and "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will just be the two titles that will headline the games to be showcased by PlayStation 4. The good thing is that participants can actually try their hands on the new headset with the games. They can then decide whether buying a PlayStation VR would be the right move for them.

The other games are:

EVE Valkyrie

Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live

Robinson: The Journey

Hustle Kings VR

Battlezone

Farpoint

The Playroom VR

PlayStation VR Worlds

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood

Headmaster

Super Stardust Ultra VR

Bound VR

Here They Lie

Tumble VR

RIGS: Mechanized Combat League

Speaking of "RIGS: Mechanized Combat League," a trailer for the VR game was released on UploadVR. The website noted the melee system and the Power Slam feature of the game, which should be a treat even for non-VR fans.

If anything, the game would be a good platform to convince players that a first-person shooting game cranked up to overdrive may just work.

PlayStation VR will be released on Oct. 13 and there should be more news and rumors that will come out before the anticipated event.
