Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Plus free games for October. As per reports, they include "Resident Evil" and "Transformers Devastation."

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, PlayStation 4 players are set to expect Capcom's "Resident Evil" and Activision's "Transformers: devastation." The former is a science-fiction action-horror game and it suits the month's free to play game program, since Haloween is approaching, as per Game N Guide. In addition, the game fits the game, since the studio is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

"Transformers: Devastation" is an action hack and slash video game, which is based on the "Transformers" franchise. Playable on PlayStation, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows, the game was initially released in Oct. 2015.

On the other hand, PlayStation 3 players will enjoy Ubisoft's "Mad Riders" and "From Dust." Mad Riders is Ubisoft's racing video game for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live. As a racing game, players assume the role of an all terrain vehicle or ATV and the task is to race other ATVs around an array of tracks.

Initially released in 2001, Ubisoft's "From Dust" serves as a successor to "Populous," which centers on The Breath. It was summoned by a tribe to aid them search and reclaim their missing knowledge. Players control a cursor and control various elements like water, soil, and lava. In line with this, players can help the tribe's people to surpass challenging tasks like finding various totems and surviving from natural disasters.

Meanwhile, PS Vita users will be able to access "Actual Sunlight" and "Code: Realize" for free. The former allows players to assume the role of Evan Winter in a plot with love and depression as themes. The latter, on the other hand, is a visual novel game that allows players to assume the role of a female character who has a deadly touch.

The aforementioned games are set to precede "Mafia III," which will be available on Oct. 7.
