Playstation Plus Free Games April 2015 List: 'Dishonored', 'Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee', 'Valiant Hearts' & More
Although PS Plus subscribers must be wondering what Sony will be offering in April, they will need to wait until next week to find out which free titles will be given away.
According to Christian Today, in response to a fan's query via Twitter regarding when Sony would announce the free PS Plus games for April, Fred Dutton, PlayStation Europe Blog manager, stated, "it should be sometime next week."
Nevertheless, it has already been affirmed that PlayStation 3 players will be receiving 'Dishonored,' a stealth action-adventure video game released in 2012, for free in April. Developed by Arkane Studios, 'Dishonored' was officially released by Bethesda, who produced it.
Incidentally, Sony accidentally disclosed that 'Dishonored' would be included in the April lineup for PS3 players. This was revealed while Sony was in the middle of announcing its free games for March to its subscribers on Twitter.
Earlier this month, PlayStation Europe announced on its official Twitter page, "Dishonored is coming to PlayStation Plus (PS3) in April." According to the report, it further stated, "Sorry for the confusion this month - we pulled the trigger too early!"
While Sony has yet to announce the titles of the PS games it has in store for its fans for the next month, PS Plus subscribers are expecting massive AAA-quality titles. This is primarily because Microsoft has already set the benchmark quite high by giving away 'Rayman Legends' as well as by doubling up its free offerings for April.
If Microsoft could do it, PS Plus subscribers believe that Sony can also. In any case, Sony would never like to be second to the tech giant. However, 'Dishonored' is certainly an excellent game to begin with. If Sony is offering this game to PS Plus players without charge, it is likely that a couple of games of the same quality will also be on the cards.
Meanwhile, Sony will be taking off the games it offered free to its members during March, for instance 'Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - New 'n' Tasty!' and 'Valiant Hearts: The Great War' for PS4 subscribers, while 'Papo & Yo' and 'Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments' for PS4. In addition, 'OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood' was offered free for both PS Vita and PS4 for March.
