'Playing With Power' News: Nintendo’s New Book, NES Classic System Takes Fans To Old Times
Fans are set to go back in time with Nintendo's new NES Classic in The Prima Games book, entitled "Playing With Power."
According to Kotaku, the said NES Classic is also called the mini-NES. As per the publication, the console fits into gamers' palms, allowing them to easy manipulate the controls when they play the 30 pre-installed Nintendo games, such as "Donkey Kong," "Super Mario Bros. 3," and "The Legend of Zelda."
While it is assumed that the aforementioned titles in "Playing With Power" are joined by other classic titles, it is revealed that the these titles are not included in the official description of the NES Classic, as per IGN. According to the publication, fans and gamers could identify those games by eliminating the third party games from the list.
It is further revealed that Nintendo's "Playing With Power" is a suitable partner to the NES Classic, as developer interviews in the book's hardcover reveal a showcase of vintage advertising and priceless excerpts from Nintendo Power. In addition, hand-drawn maps are also featured, allowing fans to see the roots of the games in the contemporary era.
"Playing With Power" also includes a slip cover similar to a conventional NES cartridge and it is now available for pre-order. According to Games Radar, the mini system costs $59.99, a price that links to the upcoming holiday. As per the publication, the NES classic will not be released until Nov. 11.
Meanwhile, Nintendo's "Playing With Power" is set to be released on Nov. 18.
