Columbia Pictures has released their first trailer for their video game inspired movie, 'Pixels', which brings about a rather star studded cast.

The movie stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Peter Dinklage, and Josh Gad, and features a group of gamers who must defend Earth against an alien invasion in the form of '80s video game characters.

Its a silly fun idea and reintroduces old time favorites such as Pac-Man, Frogger, and Donkey Kong.

"So it's up to President Kevin James (!) to defend the planet. He calls on his old buddy Adam Sandler, a champion gamer of the Reagan era, to take up the cause. He puts together a ragtag team of arcade hounds (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat said aliens. Also on Our Side is Lt. Col. Michelle Monaghan, who supplies the defenders with an arsenal of unique weapons," writes Deadline.

The movie is based off of Patrick Jean's 2010 short film and was originally scheduled to release in May 2015 but will now be released in theaters on July 24^th.
