The Pittsburgh Penguins will face the Washington Capitals on January 28 at the Verizon Center in Washington, District of Columbia.
The game will start at 8:00 pm ET and can be watched online through live stream via the link provided below (free for subscribers).
The Penguins (27-12-8) are trying to extend their current winning streak to two games when they face their Metropolitan division adversary the Capitals on Wednesday night.
"Even though they [Pittsburgh superstars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin] weren't playing you want to make sure to prove to everyone that you can still play," said Penguins left winger David Perron to reporters after he totaled a goal and an assist versus the Jets.
"We found a way to win without them."
Pittsburgh previously defeated the Winnipeg Jets by the final score 5-3, where Penguins defenseman Kris Letang had a career high five assists in the victory on January 27.
"We got to that area better than we have," Pittsburgh head coach Mike Johnston to reporters.
"It's been an emphasis for us. We've got to get to the paint. We've got to get to the blue area."
Meanwhile, the Capitals (24-14-9) are trying to stop a possible five game losing streak when they attempt to defend their home ice against the Penguins at the Verizon Center.
The Capitals were defeated by the Winnipeg Jets by the final score 4-3, where Washington center Evgeny Kuznetsov had a goal and an assist in a losing effort on January 27.
"We're just giving up too many goals right now," said Washington head coach Barry Trotz to reporters.
"In this league, trying to win every game 5-4, you're not going to do it."
The game begins at 8:00 pm ET and can be viewed on TV on the NBCS network or online through live stream by clicking here.
