The Penguins (29-14-8) are trying to lengthen their current winning streak to two weeks when they face the Flames on Friday night.

"It feels like it's been a while since I got one," said Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury to reporters after made 22 saves when he notched the seven shutout performance of the season.

"It was a little quiet for me the first two periods, but the third was a bit more one-sided for them. It was nice to finish on a good note."

The Penguins crushed the Edmonton Oilers by the final score 2-0, where the Pittsburgh players Evgeni Malkin and David Perron each scored a goal which ignited their squad to the victory on February 4.

"Edmonton had four or five Grade-A scoring chances in the third period," said Pittsburgh head coach Mike Johnston to reporters.

"He did what you need your goalie to do. It was one of those games where he didn't get much action in the first two periods, but he was really called upon in the third period. His seventh shutout of the year, that's great to see."

Meanwhile, the Flames (29-20-3) are looking to extend their current winning streak to four games when they defend their home ice versus the Penguins at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Recently, the Flames defeated the San Jose Sharks by a final score of 3-1, where Flame players Jiri Hudler, Mason Raymond and Kris Russell each scored a goal which ignited their squad to the victory on February 4.

"I'm so glad for Kris because he does so many things that are very valuable to this organization that don't necessarily show on the score sheet," said Calgary head coach Bob Hartley to reporters after his defenseman scored his first goal of the season.
