Fans of "Pitch Perfect" have waited long enough for the announcement of the "Pitch Perfect 3" release date, and finally, it has arrived. 

The official Twitter page for the "Pitch Perfect" franchise officially announced today that the third installment of the film is set for release Aug. 4, 2017.

In other "Pitch Perfect" news, Rebel Wilson is reportedly sporting a brand new look in the upcoming installment of the film. According to reports, the "Bridesmaids" star continues to lose weight in preparation for "Pitch Perfect 3."

It looks like Wilson is truly committed to her weight loss program, since rumors are rife that she has already lost another 35 pounds in just a couple of months. Recently, the Australian actress shared a piece of advice to her fans on her Instagram account, wherein she posted a photo of herself and captioned it "Love yourself."

Meanwhile, rumors are rife that Anna Kendrick will no longer be part of "Pitch Perfect 3" due to scheduling conflicts. According to reports, the actress has been hoping that the "Pitch Perfect 3" production will be moved to a later date, but the producers of the show cannot grant her request because it will be in conflict with the schedule of Rebel Wilson. Recent reports suggest that due to this, Wilson will have no other choice but to continue working on the third installment, with or without Kendrick.

"Pitch Perfect 3" is directed by Trish Sie and is expected to hit theaters in August, 2017.
