‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' News: New Leaked Photos Show Ship & Village Used for Filming
Leaked aerial photographs released online show the productions sets of Johnny Depp's upcoming movie 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.' While one of the photographs show the ship that has been used in the film, another reveals a medieval village set.
According to a report in IB Times, the photograph posted by Jared C. Adamo on Twitter displays a ship concealed from public view at the back of large containers. The photo shows that the ship is slightly tilted. The photograph comes with a caption saying that it may have "run aground" in the movie. The leaked photograph, however, does not give a clear view of whether or not a scene was being filmed at the time when it was taken, since very few crew members are visible.
In another picture posted on Twitter, a guillotine, gallows and broken bandstand are seen in a medieval village set. In this photograph there are several crew members with some heavy machinery, which includes large cranes.
According to the report, earlier, Johnny Depp, who reprises his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, also appeared at this location to film a scene. In this behind-the-scenes video, fans can see the actor surrounded by British soldiers, while they set up the guillotine to execute some pirates.
Yet another video shot at the same location was recently posted on Gold Coast Bulletin. This video shows the British soldiers getting ready to execute Sparrow following the execution of two prisoners. Perhaps, Depp noticed that there was a camera filming the cast and crew from above and he waved.
Interestingly, the execution scene was filmed June 9, which also happened to be Depp's 52nd birthday. On the occasion, producer Jerry Bruckheimer shared a photo of the cake that was presented to the actor. On his birthday, Depp met with several fans who visited the movie's production sets in Australia.
'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' is scheduled for July 7, 2017 release in the U.S. In addition to Depp, the movie also stars Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush, Kevin McNally and Martin Klebba, while Javier Barden portrays the role of the main villain, Captain Salazar.
