Pirates of the Caribbean 5 Cast, Production News: 'Dead Men Tell No Tales' Gears Up to Start Filming
The production for the next edition of the "Pirates of the Caribbean' has begun and the shooting is going to take place in Australia, says Disney.
The shooting will be taking place in both on location in Queensland and in the Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast, according to the Daily Star.
Disney, which is working in collaboration with Jerry Bruckheimer Films, has titled the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.' The movie has Johnny Depp who returns as Captain Jack Sparrow, joined by Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs and Stephen Graham as Scrum.
Also on the cast are Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites and Golshifteh Farahani. The movie is directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning. The script is written by Jeff Nathanson.
Disney also unveiled the synopsis of the movie, along with the latest announcement. The synopsis is as follows, "Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil's Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea"¦including him. Captain Jack's only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas."
Plot spoilers have already begin to surface on the internet with questions about the possession of the Trident and its location taking center stage. According to Variety, Orlando Bloom, of the main characters throughout the series is set to play a large role in the fifth installment.
