The Redskins (3-11) are looking to rebound from their latest 24-13 loss versus their NFC East adversary the New York Giants (on December 14), when Washington attempts to halt their current six game losing streak in their upcoming matchup against their divisional opponent Eagles.

"He's [Redskins QB Robert Griffin III] got every chance this week against the Eagles to take this position and run with it," said Redskins head coach Jay Gruden to reporters, "And I'd like to see him have some urgency about him and play well, and hopefully there won't be much of a debate if he does well."

Griffin further expressed his thoughts about returning as the starting QB after Colt McCoy suffered a neck injury recently.

"It's not been a fun year," said Griffin to reporters.

"We've had a lot of turmoil, a lot of things going on. At the end of the day, you suit up and when your number's called, be ready to play."

Meanwhile, the Eagles (9-5) are attempting to halt a probable three game losing streak when they encounter their NFC East divisional nemesis Redskins on the road this Saturday.

"I don't know if playing a scenario out in your head makes you feel better or whatever; I don't know how that helps you," said Philadelphia head coach Chip Kelly to reporters.

"It's about one thing we can do and that's go out and play against Washington on Saturday."

Previously, the Eagles were defeated by another familiar foe the Dallas Cowboys by a final score of 38-27, after Eagles QB Mark Sanchez went 17-28 for 265 yards, highlighted by two interceptions and suffering four sacks in the loss this past Sunday.

"That's what has been hurting us," said Sanchez to reporters in reference to turnovers.

"We need better ball security and that starts with me."
