PewDiePie 'Goat Simulator' News Update: Players Can Take A Goat’s Role?
YouTube comedy blogger PewdiePie has released his next mobile game called "PewDiePie's Tuber Simulator," as per reports.
PewDiePie, who specializaes in video games, launched the said game via his Revelmode joint venture with Maker Studios, Variety has learned. As per the publication, the Revelmode duo confirmed that they had signed a multi-title development contract with the studio created by "Goat Simulator" head Armin Ibrisagic.
In a statement, as cited by The Verge, Ibrisagic emphasized humor as an integral part of the game. He said that comedy was huge in entertainment, but it still felt in its infancy in the games industry. "Felix and I would like to work on changing that," Ibrisagic said.
As per the publication, "PewDiePie's Tuber Simulator" is not his first exposure to gaming. The gamer-YouTuber has also worked hand in hand with Montreal-based studio Outerminds on the game "Legend of the Brofist."
According to Tube Filter, "Goat Simulator" lets player assume the role of the goat. As per the publication, players can acquire point when they crash into objects, causing havoc. The game, which was released on Sept. 29, is free-to-play and it allows players to create a YouTuber and try to obtain video views and subscribers, who can buy items, from clothes, to pets, to furnitures. The player's objective is to emerge as a rival to PewDiePie, with the name Felix Kjellberg.
"PewDiePie's Tuber Simulator" was released on iOS and Android on Sept. 29.
