Persona 5 Release Date, News: Latest Clip Features Seven Characters [WATCH]
The latest intro clip for Altus' "Persona 5" featured new characters players can use in-game.
On July 19, Altus shared new clip and details on "Person 5" during its Premium Event Niconico live stream. Produced by Production I.G., the title's animation let fans have a glance on the game's first 18 minutes and meet seven more Cooperation characters.
According to Gematsu, the title introduces Hifumi Togo, a young lady who goes to Kosei Public High School. She is currently the Female Shogi League champion and her looks reportedly caught other people's eyes, making her as the "too beautiful shogi player."
Toranosuke Yoshida is a man who gives speeches outside the Shibya Station. As per reports, he has lost elections for seven consecutive times in the 20 years following his start. However, it seems that his speeches, which were actually good, were not impressive enough to other people's ears.
"Persona 5" also brings Sadayo Kawakami, a teacher at Syujin High. The class adviser of section 2-B, she can be seen within the school with a messy hair and a sleepy face. The teacher seems to be quiet, but the game and the anime may show the opposite.
Shinjuku also has a fortune teller named Chihaya Mifune. The character is known to have a "bright and cheerful" aura, but then her fortunes are usually the opposite. Rumored as a true fortune-teller, she usually recommends some "suspicious stones," which resumably impact other characters.
Yuki Mishima is a sophomore student at Syujin High. Aside from being the lead character's classmate, he is also member of the Volleyball Club and a specific event grows the gap between him and the protagonist.
Always seen at Akihabara's arcade, Shinya Oda is not shy to boast his skills in an online gunshooting game. He is regarded as the boy genius player and he desired the power of the Phantom Thieves.
Finally, fans are set to see Ichiko Oya, a gossip reporter. Her interest is writing stories she thinks will sell; in this regard, she sometimes alters the information in her new articles. It is suggested that the reporter fought social evil before, but things could have changed for her.
Developed by Altus and P. Studio, "Persona 5" is set to be released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on Sept. 15.
