'Person of Interest' Season 5 Air Date, Update: Series To Premiere This Spring? Fans Petition Calling For Season 6 Renewal
"Person of Interest" Season 5 finale is approaching and fans might be bathing in tears right now because of the rumors that it will no longer continue. For that, avid viewers decided to file a petition calling for a new season.
The online petition surpassed the 25 mark and it could move Netflix, states IB Times. Digging deeper into details, the website wrote that the petitioners want the show to continue because it is "entertaining, thrilling, generates different emotions and diverse to the people."
"We've been fighting to keep this show alive and would love to see another network pick it up, even if it's just for one more season. Don't let a show we love so much disappear," the petitioners wrote on the site, Change.org.
The petition was placed when worried fans realized the CBS did not include the sci-fi series on its midseason schedule. The fact that the end of the show is near makes the supporter more anxious, hence, filing for a new season petition.
Citing showrunner Jonathan Nolan and his interview during the recent San Diego Comic- Con, they also claimed the finale in inevitable. Moreover, Comic Book Resources revealed Michael Emerson's statement about the show.
"I feel like we kind of wrap things up every season," Emerson said. "And so I think we'll kind of continue in that same vein, maybe with a hint more 'finale' feeling." "I think it would be interesting to carry on this story in a different format, you know, maybe a shorter season or, as you said, fewer but longer episodes," he added further.
CBS's "Person of Interest" season 5 is expected to premiere this spring.
