A villain coming from Reese and Fusco's past is set to return in "Person of Interest" season 5 episode 9. Also, Root is set to learn something shocking while Shaw proves her love for the latter in the episode.

"Person of Interest" season 5 episode 9 is entitled "Sotto Vice." In the promo trailer for the episode, it is revealed that "The Voice" has returned and trapped both Reese and Fusco in their own precint, where armed gang members and the newest person of interest surround them.

The promo trailer also sees the officers back into a corner where make an effort to fire back at the criminals who are trying to take them down. This is followed by Finch saying that there were some very bad things coming, along with dynamic sequences that reveal the team in a crossfire. Reese can also be heard shouting that it was a trap, prior to a bombing.

Meanwhile, Root is also set to learn a shocking truth in "Person of Interest" season 5 episode 9. According to Ecumenical News, Shaw is set to come back and this event is going to alert the group, since she was previously abducted by the Samaritan.

Though Shaw made an attempt to escape, rumors say that she will not make it, since she is affected by the simulation effects. It is also revealed that Shaw opts to shoot herself in the simulations rather than aiming her gun at Root, which indicates her love for the latter.
