Perry LaHaie to discuss new single, "Tears This Side of Eden," on Moody radio's "Chris Fabry Live" next week
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 7, 2024) -
Singer/songwriter and morning drive-time radio host Perry LaHaie has released his new single, “Tears This Side of Eden." The song shares the powerful testimony of how hope in Jesus is forged in the sufferings of life.
LaHaie will tell the story behind the song and share his own story in an interview next week on Moody Radio. LaHaie will be a special guest on Chris Fabry Live on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at
3 p.m. ET. To listen to the live interview, visit Chris Fabry Live.
“’Tears This Side of Eden’ has taken a lifetime to write. Though this song has been forming in me for years, it was born in a moment” says LaHaie. “Through seasons of grief, shame, fear, and failure, the Savior has been growing in me the one thing I need more than oxygen – and that is hope."
Released by Frontiers USA, an international community of people passionate about inviting Muslims worldwide to follow Jesus, “Tears This Side of Eden” reflects on LaHaie’s personal journey, sharing how hope is born in the crucible of life’s hardest seasons.
“I feel like after all these years I’ve finally found my voice,” says LaHaie, whose style has been described as “Chris Renzema meets Zach Williams meets Drew Holcomb."
The new song, a mix of acoustic rock and Americana, was recorded at Yackland Studio in East Nashville, owned by veteran Nashville producer Stephen Leiweke (Jars of Clay, Chris Tomlin, Yancy, Point of Grace, Cindy Morgan, Chris Sligh).
“Through God’s grace, Perry has done it again," says Leiweke, who produced the single with emerging producer Jake DeJarnett. "He has delivered another great song with an unmistakable message about real faith and God’s faithfulness.”
“It was such an honor to help bring "Tears This Side of Eden" to life. It’s such an amazing roots rock look at the contrast of the joy and pain this side of eternity. Definitely worth a listen,” says DeJarnett.
Listeners can find “Tears This Side of Eden" on Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Tidal, YouTube, and other popular streaming platforms, or click here.
