Zayn Malik's ex-girlfriend Perrie Edwards recently just broke her silence regarding her split with the former One Direction band member. How is she coping up after the two unfortunately break their engagement earlier this year? She is "good".

In a short but sweet statement, Edwards who was being interviewed by E! News in Los Angeles with her Little Mix bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall, Edwards finally answered a question about her recent split with Malik.

When asked about how she's doing after her split with Malik, Edwards simply said, "I'm good, thank you," which was all everyone needed to hear since their break up was no ordinary one since they were on their way to get married soon. The two were engaged last August 2013 and had been dating for more than a year before getting engaged.

Although there are still no official statements coming from the two former lovebirds as to the reason of their split, Malik however previously shot down rumors about him cheating on Edwards via his twitter,"I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards," Malik wrote on Twitter adding, "And there's a lot of jealous f--ks in this world I'm sorry for what it looks like x," he wrote which Edwards then previously reposted on her Twitter.

Other sources claim that Edwards statement was correct in saying that she is doing good since she really is. "Her friends are rallying around her. She's doing fine," a source told E! News. "They split a few weeks ago. Her close friends have told her she's better off without him." 

One reason for the split apparently is that Malik has not been treating Edwards the way she wants. "He hasn't treated her right for a long time," the insider continued adding that Edwards "is doing great."
