'Penny Dreadful' fans have been teased with half-minute-long trailers, with barely enough content to satisfy the most basic questions. But now the network has released its most detailed trailer yet, leading to more answers - and more questions - than ever before.

Vanessa Ives starts the trailer with, "When Lucifer fell, he did not fall alone." These dark words forecast a tragedy or horror in store for the cast of 'Penny Dreadful' Season 2. Vanessa has experienced enough tragedy throughout her life, and is shown mourning at Mina's grave. Vanessa has a lot of drama in store for her for this upcoming season, and possibly a few mysteries of her own.

Dorian Grey hasn't gotten over Vanessa yet, it seems, as the trailer reveals the young man gazing down at a photograph of her. This image was shown in earlier teasers, but the detail must be important if it is brought back in the new trailer.

Viewers get a glimpse of Ethan Chandler in an unusual ritual. He seems to be worshipping, of sorts, but what could he be up to?

Meanwhile, several images suggest that Caliban will find the love of his life this season.

Most suggesting of all of the show's hints is the scene of Madame Kali bathing in a blood-filled tub. Could this be related to the infamous murderer, Elizabeth Bathory - a woman who bathed in blood because she believed it would keep her young? Every person has a dark side, but Madame Kali might have the deadliest.

On that note, 'Penny Dreadful' Season 2 returns on April 26^th at 10 pm.
