'Passengers' Cast News: Chris Pratt & Jennifer Lawrence Team Up for New Movie

Sony Pictures has just given the nod for the production of 'Passengers,' an interstellar romance starring two big names of Hollywood - Christ Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. People reported that both the stars are expected to get two paychecks for the upcoming film.

A recent report in Latin Post states that Lawrence, whose success in 'The Hunger Games' franchise, the 'X-Men' films as well as the Academy Award nominations has raised her status to that of a leading lady, is set to receive $20 million for 'Passengers.'

While Pratt new-found popularity is yet to reach the status of Lawrence, his recent movies, especially 'The Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Jurassic World,' have made him a credible star at the box office. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pratt will be earning $12 million, thanks to the record-breaking opening of 'Jurassic World.'

Recently, Pratt spoke to People about his recent success. The actor told the magazine, "Career wise, I want to make sure I focus on making good on the commitments that I've made and the projects that I'm tackling," adding, "I don't want to spread myself too thin and I don't want to have too many irons in the fire."

As Lawrence, Pratt is also considered one of Hollywood's most relatable actors and, hence, their on-screen union will certainly excite many fans.

"I'm really just enjoying this ride with the understanding that they'll throw me off at some point," Pratt joked, and added, "It will most definitely happen, it always does."

Apart from Lawrence and Pratt, 'Passengers' will also include Keanu Reeves, Reese Witherspoon and Rachel McAdams.

Come this fall, Lawrence will wrap up her character as Katniss Everdeen with the release of the final installment of 'The Hunger Games' franchise, while Pratt is expected to reprise his role in both 'The Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Jurrasic World.'

Filming for 'Passengers' is scheduled to begin in September.
