'Paper Mario: Color Splash' News: October Release Date Confirmed For Wii U

Nintendo announced the release date for its "Paper Mario: Color Splash during the Treehouse E3 livestream. The game is confirmed to be coming to Wii U this October.

According to Gamespot, there's a new feature in the game, which will really maximize the touchscreen of the Wii U gamepad.

"At certain points, you'll hit obstacles that need to be overcome," it said. "It's these moments where you'll use the touchscreen to cut out pieces of the environment and jump these hurdles."

Nintendo Wii U users will get their chance to play around the interactive nature of the "Paper Mario: Color Splash" when the release date rolls along.

The game revolve around the lovable Italian plumber who is tasked to restore Prism Island which, for some mysterious reason, is now devoid of color. Using his paint hammer, he spreads different hues with the Splatoon.

Kids will really love splashing colors everywhere, or even using the paint hammer to resuscitate pale toads. But they will also use some strategy in order to solve puzzles to go on another level. Another fun in-game mode is the battle card system, which allows the player to utilize strategy cards to strike down an enemy. Be careful, however, as the wrong card can backfire.

"Players can also use scissors to slice out pieces of the environment, done by tracing lines on the GamePad," Euro Gamer said.

The report said that the release date for "Paper Mario: Color Splash" is going to be on Oct. 7.
