'Paper Mario: Color Splash' News & Update: Trailer Features 3D Objects Like Electric Fan And Lemon [WATCH]

Nintendo has shown another look at "Paper Mario: Color Splash" and it sees what players can expect from the game, such as 3D physical objects.

The video features senior editor Marty Silva and executive editor Andrew Goldfarb. According to Silva, had played about half an hour of the game. In a statement, Nintendo's forthcoming game felt very clever and it had some funny moments.

Goldfarb added that the game's premise is that the world was running out of color and players can also utilize thing cards, which feature physical objects like hammers, lemons, or fire-balls. The executive editor also mentioned the presence of the fourth wall in-game, such as an electric fan, which blows characters away, since they are paper-made.

Another case in point is a lemon from the actual world and it can be cut into slices and squeezed onto the enemies to blind them. According to IGN, such 3D objects are introduced into Super Mario's 2D realm to unleash some finishing moves during a battle.

As per the publication, the usage of hammers and jumps in battle need precision for boosted damage; nonetheless, the Things allow the heroes to be at par versus multiple enemies or their leader.

More sequences show Super Mario battling the enemies in an arena and at the bottom part of the screen, players can see his hit points or HP and the number of coins he has obtained throughout the game.

"Paper Mario: Color Splash" is set to be released for the Nintendo Wii U on Oct. 7.
