Owl City’s Adam Young Teases Fans With New 2016 Project
Young made the revelation while highlighting the successful release of his groups full length album, "Mobile Orchestra" in the holiday newsletter he sent out to fans, according to The Christian Beat. In his newsletter, Young wrote that he had been quiet on social media for a few weeks because he had stumbled upon an idea which had all but consumed his creative eart-and-soul and he was tremendously excited about it. Young also mentioned that he could not give many details at the moment, but he was hatching a plot that involved doing something different tham anything I had ever done, and yet was something he had always dreamed of doing. It was separate from Owl City and involved music, but that's all he could say. According to Young, he and his team were working on a project that would launch on Feb. 1, 2016, with more news coming Jan. 1, and he thinks that fans will be amazed. He added that for years, he had wanted to do something he had eitther not had the time nor energy to focus on, but at long last, the time had come. Released on July 10, "Mobile Orchestra" serves as the fifth studio album by Amrican electronic project Owl City. It features ten songs including "Verge," "I Found Love," "Thunderstruck," "My Everything," "Unbelievable," "Bird With A Broken Wing," "Back Home," "Can't Live Without You," "You're Not Alone," and "This Isn't The End." Fans are set to witness Young go deeper into his faith in "Mobile Orchestra." In his interview with Guideposts, Young said that he had definitely wanted to write in a way that pointed more directly to his faith and how important it was to him. He added that he had wanteed to write a couple of songs that had been really vulnerable and honest, he had just imagined if he had been feeling lonely or down in the dumps. "Mobile Orchestra" can be downloaded on iTunes. Meanwhile, more details about their 2016 project will hopefully surface early January.
