‘Overwatch' Christmas Holiday Event 2016 News: What Is It And How Do You Participate?
The "Overwatch" holiday event is confirmed, although fans may be frustrated by the lack of details from the Christmas invitation card sent by the studio.
So what is the "Overwatch" holiday event, and how can you participate?
The event is announced by Blizzard through a tweet on its official social media account. Unfortunately, there's not much to go on regarding the tweet. But perhaps that was intentional so the studio can create some hype leading up to the actual date.
The Christmas card opens and the message reads:
It's the most wonderful time of the year, and we hope you'll join us for some holiday cheer.
When: December 13, 2016
Where: Overwatch

But PCGamer said that if people are to go by Blizzard's past marketing promos, the "Overwatch" holiday event may mean new skins, accessories, voice lines or emotes. Perhaps some Christmas-themed skins are in order?
VG247 also pointed out that last month, there might be some clues released on what the holiday event of "Overwatch" is all about. Apparently, there were some audio tracks that seems to have changed the game's theme in keeping up with the Yuletide season.
Also there was Athena saying "now entering the arena" or "challenger" or "gladiator." But since then, there were no clues as to what they mean. There are millions of ways that the holiday event could go and to venture a guess without some clues from Blizzard would be futile.
For now, however, we will just count the days before the "Overwatch" holiday event to find out what Blizzard has in store for us.
